How many messages should I send to my buyers?

We recommend sending one message per order.

We typically suggest sending only one message per order. Starting off, decide what you want your main focus to be to improve your business outcomes. Are you looking to improve your seller feedback? Are you looking to get more product reviews?

Once you've decided your main focus, you can view the message templates in the Communication Center, or start from scratch. We have message templates that guide you toward being more detailed in your message in an effort to help you send one message per order.

Message Templates

Here is an example of one of our pre-made messages: "Product Review + Attachment/Bonus Content". 

The message templates will have **double asterisks** with some tips on what you can add to personalize your messages for your buyers. This ensures the buyers receive all of the necessary information in one message, plus you can ask for reviews or feedback within the same message. 

Note: You will need to replace any information that appears between asterisks in order to save the message.

Using Variables

Variables make it easy and fast to create a customized message to support each purchase. If your goal is to increase your seller feedback score, our research shows that you get the most seller feedback if you send the message immediately after the order is delivered.

If your goal is to increase your product reviews, you may find the timing of your product review requests differ from requesting seller feedback.
