With some advanced know-how, Feedback Genius can allow you to send messages for orders up to 60 days in the past.
[ ⚠️ Note: Due to Amazon's data protection policies, customization options such as [[first-name]] and [[buyer-name]] are not recommended for messages more than 30 days post-order. Messages for orders older than 30 days will insert the placeholder "Customer" in place of the customer's name. ⚠️]
You can send messages to past orders by utilizing the Include orders over the past feature within your message's Advanced filter options.
To do this, click on Messages, at the top of your User Dashboard.
Then, click on any name of the message you want to edit.
Once you're satisfied with the message, click Continue, at the bottom-right, to move into your messages filters and advanced settings. With Advanced Settings, you can set delays, trigger messages for previous orders, and more.
For this article, we'll focus on the When section, which allows you to send messages immediately, or on a delay, and based on specific trigger events occurring with each order.
Show Advanced Filters: Inside the Advanced Filters section, you'll find the delivery window, or "Include orders over the past" feature. Here, you can change the setting for the amount of days in the past you want to send messages for customer orders.
(up to 60 days max; shown in the example below).
For example, if you are trying to reach out to orders that were Delivered within the last 10 days, you would:
Set the appropriate fields to be Immediately after the order has been Delivered and set the Include orders over the past parameter to 10 days.
We always recommend that your message content is in accordance with how you have the message going out. In other words, you would not want to say "Your order was delivered yesterday" if you are reaching out to customers that ordered in the far distant past. You could always craft your message to say something more general, such as "Your order was recently delivered".
