Uploading Your Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) into the Product Catalog

Use the bulk upload feature to update your Cost of Goods Sold, and add short names to your products

Uploading tip:

  • Do not include any currency symbols with your COGS in the spreadsheet, as this will cause the upload to fail.

Step 1: From the hamburger menu in the top left corner, click on the Bulk Update Products tab, which is located under the Products section.

Step 2: You will be presented two ways of bulk updating product information: Copy Text Update and CSV Upload.

Let's take a deeper look into both ways of updating product information.

Copy Text Update

1. On the Copy Text Update tab, please click the Copy To Clipboard button.

This will copy the product information for all the products shown in Seller Labs Pro. The data that you can edit will include COGS, SL product group, Short name, Lead time, Reorder level and Track reviews. For more information about these values, please refer to the Product Catalog Glossary of Terms.

2. Paste the copied data to any spreadsheet editor (e.g. Excel, Numbers etc.) and set the needed COGS values, for example.

3. Copy the modified data from your spreadsheet editor and paste it to the CSV/TSV Data field and hit the Update button:

In a few moments, the updated data will be shown in the left field! You are all set!

CSV Upload

1. From this tab, you will need to click on the Download CSV Template link. Once the CSV template is downloaded, you can edit your COGS, SL product group, Short name, Lead time, Reorder level and Track reviews. Save the file to your computer.

2. To upload the CSV template, you will need to click the spyglass icon and choose the updated template, OR drag the file directly to the area as shown on the screenshot below. Please wait for it to finish uploading before closing this window! Once you do that, you are done!
